Rahul Ranade is a renowned Indian Music Composer and a multi-disciplinary artist known for his work in Marathi and Hindi Cinema, Theatre, Television, and Live events.
Born in Pune in 1966, he began his musical journey at the age of 7, training in Tabla and Indian Classical Vocal Music.
Ranade has Composed Songs and Background Music for over 35 Feature Films, including Vaastav, Nidaan, Astitva, Kakasparsh, and Dr. Prakash Baba Amte.
He has also worked extensively in Theatre (150 plays) and television as an Actor, Singer and Composer.
A Creative Event Producer and Director, he has conceptualized major musical events like ‘The Masters’, ‘The Bengal Tigers’, ‘The Virtuosos’, ‘Dazzling Maharashtra’ and ‘Viraasat’ to name a few, featuring artists such as Asha Bhosle, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Ustad Rashid Khan, Shaan, Javed Ali, Shankar Mahadevan.
He teaches Applied Music at institutions like FTII, Whistling Woods, and FLAME University and is a founding member of Grips Theatre, Pune.
Ranade has received several awards, including the Zee Award, MaTa Sanmaan, Maharashtra State Awards and the prestigious Keshavrao Bhole Puraskar, for his contributions to Indian Music and Performing Arts.
